Wuhou Shrine • Jinli the Play “Heroes of the Three Kingdoms” and Three Kingdoms Cultural Experience Block Project is created by Sichuan Three Kingdoms Culture Co., Ltd., a company co-founded by Usunhome Group and Chengdu Wuhou Shrine. With the culture of Shu Han Three Kingdoms as its theme, this fine cultural tourism project has been in operation since June 2015, receiving 20,000 visitors per day. It was once again selected as a key project for Chengdu’s development of urban functions on “Chengdu’s Music Industry Investment Promotion Event” held by Chengdu Municipal Government in December 2016.

Located next to the end of Jinli Street, the project is adjacent to the famous historic site Wuhou Shrine and Chengdu Sport University. It is the core of Shu Han Three Kingdoms Town planned by Chengdu Municipal Government. As the excellent cultural and commercial facilities supporting the play “Heroes of the Three Kingdoms”, the Three Kingdoms Cultural Experience Block boasts a rigorous overall layout and strong cultural atmosphere of the Three Kingdoms. Its architecture takes the form of courtyards in the style of dwellings in western Sichuan in late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The project features the culture of the Three Kingdoms and Chengdu folk culture and serves multiple functions like tourism, shopping, leisure and entertainment. It will form a featured block for the experience of the two cultures.

With the culture of the Three Kingdoms as a basic element, the play represents Shu Han culture and passes on traditional values like wisdom, courage, goodness and righteousness by integrating art and technology, utilizing world-class digital multimedia and scenographic technology and going beyond the gap between the stage and the auditorium. The play will be performed all day every day all year round on an innovative 360° stage and thus will present that well-known period of history in an original way for audiences from home and abroad. So far, its preliminary works have been done, including market research, team formation, theatrical, scenographic and lighting designs and its script and music created. The play “Heroes of the Three Kingdoms” will become the landmark of China Chengdu ▪ Shu Han Three Kingdoms Town.
