The correspondent learned on January 8th from Usunhome Group that in the afternoon on January 4, 2018 in London, at the headquarters of World Travel & Tourism Council (hereinafter called WTTC), Mr. Nigel David, Regional Director for APAC & China, officially presented the WTTC membership certificate to Mr. Qiu Wei, Chairman of Usunhome Group. Usunhome has been the only one cultural tourism enterprise in China that has ever been invited to join WTTC.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in London, WTTC organizes forums for leaders of the global Travel & Tourism sector. It has brought together nearly 100 leading enterprises globally in this field. It is reported that another 12 well-known Chinese enterprises are also WTTC members. They are China International Travel Services Limited, China Eastern Airlines, HNA Group etc. 

 

In September 2017, WTTC Chairman Mr. Gerald Lawless specially took the time to visit Usunhome Group while he was in Chengdu for the 22nd session of the General Assembly of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). He got to know the Group and its key cultural tourism projects then and invited Usunhome to join WTTC. 

Mr. Nigel David also invited Usunhome Group to attend as an important guest for the WTTC Global Summit 2018 that would be held in April in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
