At Princess Wencheng Theatre, Mr. Wu Yingjie first had a look at USUNLIFE SPACE featured creative cultural products and got informed of their designs and sales. He then watched a rehearsal of the large-scale Tibetan culture epic drama “Princess Wencheng”. According to him, this show has become a cultural tourism symbol of Tibet. More work should be done next to optimize it, introduce innovations, keep improving its quality, contribute to the sound development of local cultural tourism industry and further help locals earn more so that social, economic and cultural benefits can be achieved at the same time.

Mr. Wu Yingjie later visited businesses on Cijuelin Tibetan-style Street, such as “Time in Heaven” Creative Book Cafe, “Tibet, My Love” Cultural Experience Shop, Dingdai Hualing and Yunsunhome Hotel. Mr. He Ping briefed him on the Street’s occupants, their business operation and the development of “3650space Lhasa Innovation and Startup Park”. Mr. Wu Yingjie believes that Tibet’s tourism market has great potential, so the cultural tourism industry should never cease to enrich itself and forms of tourism should be diversified. He noted that “Princess Wencheng” has changed a region on its own and recognized its role in regional development, employment, income growth and poverty alleviation. Still, more needs to be done to diversify forms of businesses, improve supporting facilities and create a new tourism hub in Lhasa. Mr. Wu Yingjie also requested that the Park should provide greater support for “the nationwide business startup and innovation”, implement related policies vigorously, increase people’s awareness, create an atmosphere for it and encourage university students to start their own businesses.

After six years’ constant improvement, the large-scale Tibetan culture epic drama "Princess Wencheng" has become another cultural tourism symbol in Lhasa that rivals the other two landmarks: Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. The project contributes to development through industries, to employment through development, to poverty alleviation through employment. Local Tibetan people constitute over 95 % of the cast of over 800 people. The drama has become an exemplar of targeted poverty alleviation through cultural tourism industry in Tibet.
