Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Ministry of Finance recently released together Guidelines on the Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships in Cultural Industries. According to the Guidelines, public-private partnerships should be encouraged in cultural projects that are in stable demand, can be run commercially, get funded on performance-based mechanisms and serve the public well.
These projects should engage in but not be limited to the cluster development of profitable cultural industries, the preservation and innovation of distinctive cultures, public cultural services, the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, and the fusion of cultural industries and tourism, agriculture, science, technology, sports and health care.
