Recently, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other 16 state ministries jointly released Guidelines on the Sustainable Development of Rural Tourism to improve the quality and efficiency of rural tourism, promote its sustainable development, and help agriculture and villages gather new momentum. The guidelines put forward five major measures: more and better planning and guidance should be provided to coordinate regional development; measures should be taken to improve infrastructure and public services; tourism products should be improved to spread culture better and more extensively. Tourism brands should be built with more intensive marketing; rural tourism should be developed to benefit farmers and help alleviate poverty.
